JW03 "Snakes Kin"
Artists Notes: After taking about 100 photos of this car, I decided to paint this view as the back of the car reflected the gorgeous Chinook clouds that came out of nowhere that day. This black GT-500 is a knockout to start with and our timing on the weather couldn't have been better. This was a fun car to paint.
JW02 "427 COBRA"
Artists Notes: I painted this 427 cobra in 1980 it was owned by Dr. Grant Hill of Okotoks, Alberta, a great credit to the old car hobby in his own right. This legendary car more than held its own on the streets of Calgary in the late 70's. The good doctor even gave rides around a slalom course at $50 a piece to benefit charity. Awesome.
The 1967 Shelby Mustang was available in two basic models: the GT350 carrying the high performance 289 V-8 and the GT500 hauling the larger 428ci V-8. The new 1967 Shelby model was drastically restyled to give off looks of performance. There was only 2 048 GT500 67 made, but this baby can go fast, 0-60mph in 4.8 sec.
